Peter James Appelt was born on August 2, 1955 and died on February 13, 2023, at age 67. He and his wife Marlyn raised three children Chris (AJ) Reardon, Grace (Nadav) Baker, and Peter (Lisa) Appelt. In recent years, he found great joy in being Pop Pop to his grandchildren: Kayla, Sage, Paulie, and Evelyn. He is survived by his siblings Paul (Janet), Dave (Steph), June (Rich), Dennis (Carmen), and Joyce, and was preceded in death by his sister Jill. Peter worked for the US Customs/Homeland Security from 1978-2018, before retiring to spend more time on music, family, and volunteer work. He was a beloved curmudgeon, always up for a good argument with those he loved.
