Wow!! What a great guy!! Tough but extremely Fair And for a Big Man…. He was Friggin FAST Some outside kid came and caused trouble on grounds . Kid had about a 1/2 a baseball field lead and he caught up to him before he could jump the fence and apprehended him. I was like WOW!!!

It was with great sadness that I heard of John’s passing. I was privileged to work with him at FPM and will always hold him in my thoughts, prayers and heart. John was my friend, mentor and “Boss John” for several years and Hempstead Country Club. An unlikely duo that was paired together, but just worked. We spent many hours together talking about family, education ( both working in schools) and survived a staff of teenagers. He was fiercely protective and was always loyal. He taught me that early was actually late, a strong cup a coffee is a essential and the art of writing everything down. I hadn’t seen my old friend in a long time, but would think of him often. Where we worked did not have a whole lot of shade. I have donated a tree in his name because I know he would get a kick out of that. My name is John Malone. I graduated from floral park memorial and now reside in rockville centre. I just want family to know that mr saverese was loved by all of us. He was just a great guy. 2 administrators that really made impression on my life were mr johnson and mr saverese. They were like partners. They spoke to me on different level. I ran into mr saverese a few times i. Rockville centre over years and we had some laughs reminising! He was s special person and im so sorry for ur loss! Just know he helped so many kids at hard time in life. God bless him.
