Born in Lemnos, Greece, on March 5, 1939, Eddie immigrated to the United States in 1957 with his beloved mother, Soultana. Their journey began with the support of his uncle, Angelo Berdes, who played a major role in helping them start their new life in America. Together, they built a wonderful family and created a home filled with laughter and love. Eddie was a beloved figure, known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his family. He settled in Queens, New York, where he spent many years working in the restaurant business starting his career at the Manos family-owned St. John’s Luncheonette followed by the Pappalardo family-owned Salerno’s Famous Italian Restaurant. In 1986, he started his own business, purchasing his first multifamily property in the Bronx, NY and went on to purchase a second multifamily and a few years later opened Gregory’s Laundromat and became a respected businessman in Castle Hill, Bronx.
