Obituary

Buck was born in Brooklyn, the youngest of four. He loved his older sisters Marie and Joan and his brother Ed. It was during his early years that Buck met a lifelong friend, Mike Saracino. In a recent conversation Buck was asked about his favorite childhood memory. He responded playing ball with Mike in the schoolyard. Over the years, Mike met Micki. He asked Buck to join him and Micki for a night of bocce ball with Micki’s friend Camille. He met the love of his life that night. A marriage of 62 years started with two years in the army and then a move from Brooklyn to Merrick. Here they raised three wonderful children and enjoyed watching the family grow with seven Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren. Buck’s career in management and operations resulted in his achieving a VP position before he decided to retire. He enjoyed snowbirding to FL, spending time with family and friends, taking vacations, visits to casinos, reading James Patterson, watching the Jets and Yankees and eating Camille’s cooking. While Camille was the life of the party, Buck was the steady sidekick. His niece Nancy recalls her Aunt Camille chatting away while Uncle Buck was at the door saying Camille… Camille Let’s go. Buck had a unique character with a quick, sarcastic, dry humor. He made people laugh in his own way. Camille predeceased Buck in 2020. They are reunited now. That brings a smile and peace to all that knew them.
