Obituary
Anthony D. Della Croce of Bethpage, N.Y. passed away on January 1, 2024, at Huntington Hospital, Huntington, NY. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and godfather.
Anthony was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 24, 1941, to Sadie (Albano) Della Croce and Louis Della Croce. Following completion of his education abroad in Italy, Anthony’s successful career in banking commenced at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co and subsequently concluded at Chase Bank, from where he retired in 2000.
Anthony’s passions included commitment to his family, travel, tending to his vegetable garden, and bringing family and friends together over a good meal and regaling stories. Anthony is survived by his loving wife Angela (Cano) Della Croce to whom he was married for 52 years, as well as his beloved son Anthony DellaCroce and his wife Tiffany (Mele) DellaCroce of Hawthorne, NJ, and cherished daughter Marianne Della Croce of Middle Island, NY. Anthony is also survived by his two granddaughters who were the love of his life, Julianna DellaCroce and Victoria DellaCroce. Anthony is also survived by his brother Salvatore Della Croce and his wife Marie Della Croce of Staten Island New York, and brother Michael Della Croce and his wife Theresa DellaCroce of Queens, NY. Anthony is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his brother Louis Della Croce and sister S. Mary Serafine Della Croce, SSND.
Reposing will be at O’Shea funeral home, in Wantagh, on Friday, January 5th at 2-5 and 7-9 PM. A funeral mass will be offered on Saturday, at 10:00 AM at St. Martin of Tours Church, Bethpage. Burial will follow at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury, NY.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to the American Heart Association.
