GARDELLA – Waitstill M., of Seaford, passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 102. Beloved wife of the late Charles A. Cherished mother of Charlene, Barbara, and Lorraine (Sy). Adored grandmother of Charlene (Neil), Gregory and Rebecca. Loving great grandmother of 5. Waitstill was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to helping others and lived her life fully til the end. She volunteered for 60+ years starting with The Red Cross. She was extremely proud of receiving her 60th year pin for her volunteer work. Waitstill also made Afghans for Veterans and babies up until she was 101. She will be dearly missed by so many. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm, at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Homes, 603 Wantagh Ave., Wantagh, NY. Mass will be held on Wednesday, 10:30 am at St. James R.C. Church.
