Many good memories of my friends, the Flay's... Our backyards backed up to each other in Bayswater. My father and Mr. Flay we're childhood friends just as his son Steven and I were childhood friends - best friends, actually. Some select memories of Harold include him walking home from the A train, playing catch with Steve on the front lawn of the High School, always caring for his mother, who lived with them, as my grandparents did with us. I remember him always doing things around the house and yard, like building a new chicken coop (though the chickens were long gone), putting up an awesome swing set for Steven, installing a real water fountain on the hose spigot... I remember the basement fridge with sodas and beer, his amazing workshop with every tool, nut and bolt organized to the T.... I remember he loved fishing and going out and working on his boat. My prayers go out to his family. Rest in Peace, Mr. Flay.
