I will always remember the good taste of Val's own baked italian bread. How lucky we were for his talent. When he sold his business we were still fortunate to be able to get his bread baked with his own recipe by the new owner who sold them and distributed them in bakeries in N YC and Long Island. I loved to watch him come to New Jersey with lots of Long Island baked Cannoli and the best tasting filling so carefully filled into the shells. What a delight to all the adults and especially the children. The grandchildren had to be tutored how to properly fill the Cannoli but once they learned, they always expected that Pop Pop's visits would include dozens of Cannoli to be filled by them with their new skills. What a great Grandfather filled with lots of love.
He will be missed but his rewards are now in heaven with his Savior where there is no more pain or illness and where he is with his wife again and other loved members of his family. May God bless him with lots of happiness. Gmom Elaine Eldred
