What began as a work friendship eventually became a true friendship. I’m honored to have known you as both. Your ability to listen, give advice, and bring joy to others will always be memorable to my family & I. The “name books” you gifted my children at the holidays is still our all-time favorite! Marygrace you were one incredibly unique and unforgettable person. To Billy, her Mother, her two brothers, and the rest of her family and friends, I give my sincerest condolences. May the wonderful and loving memories that you shared with Marygrace help you through this difficult time. ~ Vito, Jean Marie, Ava, Vito, & Vinny

I worked with Marygrace for over 13 years at PS 66Q first as a teacher and later as an Assistant Principal. She was the first person to invite me to lunch at the school. She and I co-taught 4th grade science one year. I often spent time in her Pre-K classroom over the years. She was always aiming to help. When I left 66 to become a principal, she would check on me and encourage me. She will be forever in the hearts and minds of her students, the families she impacted, and those she worked with. To the family, my sincere condolences. To Marygrace, enjoy Heaven!

Mary, you were so kind to me and always brought a smile to my face through our brief chats on Instagram. You’d tell me how I reminded you of my dad when you all were younger, and how much you loved my dad as your best friend in high school. I posted a selfie once and you said “Truly a throwback! As I follow you I feel like I’m with my friend Richie all over again living his best life! Cause that’s what you’re Dad did and you’re doing the same!”. You always followed closely with heart emojis on anything I’d post and I really loved that. You were so sweet to me and I’ll never forget that, or you. Rest In Peace and in Heaven, Mary. The Minichiello family loves you so much.

Dear Billy,
Rich and I want to express our most sincere condolences to you for losing the love of your life. MaryGrace always told us how happy she was to find you when she did. She said that timing was everything. We have both been friends with Mary since we were very young and had so many wonderful memories growing up together. The group of us was inseparable during high school and we had lots of laughs, some tears and lots of great memories to look back on. As we all moved on and got married, Mary hadn’t quite found her soulmate yet until you came along. She couldn’t have been more in love with you. She told me just recently how you took such good care of her preparing her lunches for work as well as making her delicious dinners every night. She loved the life that she had with you and Logan. I could tell just by the way she was speaking to you on the phone that day how in love you guys still were with each other and that is very rare to find. She will take that love with her and I know you will carry that love with you eternally as well. I am so happy that you came into her life and gave her such immense happiness and joy. Again we are so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife and our dear friend Mary.

I want to express my most sincere condolences to Billy, Connie , Sal and Michael. My friendship with Marygrace began when she started her teaching career at PS. We shared many wonderful memories together. We shared good times outside the school. She often visited my family restaurant back in the day. We often shared spiritual beliefs and ideas. I was honored to attend her wedding to Billy. It was a beautiful celebration. The children in the classroom brought so much joy to our lives. We experienced loving and joyful memories with them. Marygrace especially liked when I carved a jack o lantern for her PreK children. Her kind , caring and thoughtful ways will always be remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family members. Marygrace blessed many lives and she will always be remembered. Sincerely, Sharon Kotchek

My dear friend Mary, I cannot believe that you are gone. We have been in each other’s lives for over 47 years and I’m not quite sure how I’m going to go on without you. You were always such a loving, understanding and kind friend that no one can replace. You were like a sister to me. I’m so glad we got to spend time together in May and just reminisce about the old times and laugh and hug. I love you and I will miss you and I will see you again my friend and give you the biggest hug when I do.
Connie, Michael and Sal, I don’t even know what to say. I can’t even imagine what you are all going through. You know how much we loved Mary and what a special friend she has always been to us. She will never ever be forgotten.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We love you all.
