WHELAN – The Reverend John F. ordained May 31st, 1958 and entered into eternal life on June 2, 2022. Devoted son of the late John and Katherine. Loving brother of Mary Daley (the late John), Bro. Kevin Whelan, S.M., and the late Reverend Dennis J. Whelan. Father Whelan served in many parishes and ministries throughout the Diocese of Rockville Centre during his years of dedicated priestly service . Family will receive friends Sunday, 2 pm – 4 pm, at St. William the Abbot R.C. Church in Seaford, NY. Vigil Mass to be held Sunday at 7:30 pm.
