Obituary
James “Jim” Aloysius Fiesel Jr. of Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully Sunday, January
16, 2022 at the age of 95.
Jim was born in Manhattan, New York on December 10th, 1926 and raised in Long Beach, New
York. The son of James and Francis, Jim met the love of his life, Catherine “Kay” Fiesel, during
his time as Captain of the Long Beach lifeguards. He served our country in Italy during World
War II, and later went on to own Laue Wall Coverings Inc. Jim and Kay wed on September 27,
1952 and raised three children together. Long-time residents of Point Lookout, New York, the
couple were dedicated members of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church.
Jim is survived by his wife, Kay, and his three children; Karen and her husband Bill, Kathleen
and her husband John, and James A. III and his wife Christine. As well as his seven
grandchildren Elizabeth, Emily, James A. IV, William, Cailey, Alexandra, and Margaret. And his
three great grandchildren, James A. V, Rose and Jane.
Jim will be remembered for his unwavering devotion and admiration for his wife over their 69
years of marriage, which will continue to set an example for his family and friends. In his free
time, he enjoyed golfing, bike rides with friends to Long Beach, watching the Yankees alongside
his wife, and most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jim could get a
laugh out of any room, and would often be spotted sitting on his front porch in Point Lookout
smiling and waving at those passing by. His comforting demeanor, witty humor and love for life
will be terribly missed by family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
Services will be held on Friday February 4th at 10:30am at Lady of the Miraculous Medal
Church in Point Lookout, NY.
