Maria Evangelista was born on September 20, 1981 and passed away on December 17, 2021. Maria was born in Long Island City to Thomas and Frances Evangelista. In 1991 she, her parents and brother, Thomas, Jr. moved to Levittown. Maria attended MacArthur H.S. and went on to Long Island University to major in marketing. Maria was passionate about travel, Bon Jovi, baking. She had many talents. She was secretary of her Book Club and a member of the Society of our Lady of Sorrows, where she held the position of recording secretary. Maria was a kind, thoughtful, beautiful young woman who loved children and they loved her. She was always doing something thoughtful for others. She is loved by many. In 2006 Maria’s world turned upside down when her father suddenly died at the age of 52. In 2009 her world turned upside down once again with the sudden death of her brother at the age of 32. Maria is survived by her mother, Frances. Maria will be dearly missed, and her spirit will always be a part of us.
