It's with a very heavy and sad heart that I write this. You know Peter, you were one of my dearest friends, former co-worker, and brother in satire. You passed away so unexpectedly on October 8th. No one needs to say anything, Peter was an amazing man who would've made a joke of it or made fun of you for writing this and we would have laughed together. I was friends with Peter Amarose for 36 years. The kindest, most generous, and most cynically funny satirist of everyday life who never failed to make me laugh and lift my spirits through some of the darkest days of my life. A man who was humble in his artistic and musical talents. A man who lived life, appreciated good times, good things, and loved to point out life's cruel and unfair ways with a joke. A man who would always draw a crowd of people to him to hear what he had to say no matter where he was. A man who always shot from the hip and spared no one with his humor. My heart goes out to your Mom and brother, I am thinking and worrying about them. I offer a tribute to a man who certainly deserved one for the great person he was. I miss you already Peter. Rest in peace, my dear friend. Goodbye Peter.
