I have known Gloria since I was 17 years old. She was the most gracious and unassuming person I have ever met. She lived vicariously through the lives of her family and loved to hear the antics of all. Always private about her own life, she reveled in family gatherings, a consistent smiling witness to our celebrations. I will be forever grateful for Christmas 2019 at Carmine’s in NYC, pre-Covid and pre-illness. Lessons learned; never miss an opportunity to be with family or friends!

My name is John Luca Jr, Gloria worked for my Dad. I remember when my Dad hired Gloria, a long, long time ago. I did work on Gloria's cars as a very young man. Gloria has truly been like family for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I remember my Dad calling Gloria to check in virtually every night. I remember as a young person my Mom, Dad and Gloria going on Electrolux conventions to Bermuda and Florida many times. I had Gloria over to my home for BBQ's many times, and she always raved about them. She would always bring twizzlers! Every milestone family event we had, Gloria was there.
Gloria was a class act. Caring, loving and giving. Gloria did not want anything. Many times my wife and I wanted to take her out to dinner, for an occasion like her birthday, but, no, she wouldn't have it.
Gloria was known for her high heal shoes, I was sure to tease her while she was at rehab about her heals, I told her that perhaps the reason she was having difficulty walking was that she wasn't wearing her heels! We always had good laughs during our calls. She would always thank me for a good "visit".
I loved Gloria as a family member and she will be greatly missed. I am quite sure she is with my Dad and they are OK.
While I will keep Gloria in my prayers I think that now she is looking down upon us and praying back.
RIP my dear old friend, you were a very good woman and I am so happy to have known you.
