Betty, Mario, Teresa, Charlie & Family: I'm so sorry for your loss, but am also happy that all of us have such great memories of John. John was a wonderful, kind and gracious man with a great sense of humor and love of life. I was lucky to have had him in my life and always made me feel like I was part of the family, which meant a lot since my family was in Florida since I was in my early 20's. I have so many good memories. I remember one time out in the Springs, John, Mario, Steve and I went to the Farmhouse for dinner. Steve drove us in his convertible and when a Barbara Striesand song came on and John, Mario and Steve were belting out the song in harmony - what a moment! So many more... All my love, Annette

What can I say , I had one of the best Uncle's ever!! A piece of my heart is broken off with his passing. As he deteriorated with this horrific disease each and every day he always had a smile on his face. He always had this beautiful smile and loved to make everyone laugh. I wanted to say that Aunt Betty, Theresa and Mario were with him every step of the way and that shows us just what he meant to them. They are my hero's!!
I wanted to share a few funny stories that will last me a lifetime and always make me smile:
As many of you, he loved golfing and my husband Michael is so thankful that he taught him this game. One day he planned on golfing with his friends, He was heading into the clubhouse to get his tee-time and walking as fast as he usually did, he fell and broke his rib. However. he got up and proceeded to sign in and went golfing with his friends not to disappoint them. When he got home he said I think I broke my rib. How do you break a rib golfing? Of course when I heard this I was hysterical laughing. He was a truly good friend
When visiting us in West Palm Beach Aunt Betty who loves shopping, decided that she and Uncle John were going to go. When they got to the store she left Uncle John on his own, big mistake. He ended up buying himself women's shoes. When they arrived home they showed us what they bought, When Aunt Betty saw the shoes she said, " Johnny they are women's shoes and he said I don't care they are comfortable. He wore them the whole time he was here and everyday I would look at them and laugh. He was one of a kind!
Another visit to West Palm he needed shoes for a wedding. I decided to go with them. When we walked into the shoe store the sales associate asked him what he was looking for and he said dancing shoes. I'm sure she never heard that before. Leave it to Uncle John. He loved to make people laugh and he loved to dance.
The most special thing he did for me was at my 50th Birthday party. He was the vocalist and his back up singers were Charlie, Mario, Phil and Robert and he sang "My Girl". He also had added some dapper dance moves. That was the highlight of my birthday. Michael and I were truly blessed to have him in our lives. Michael considered him his father in-law. He loved him unconditionally. We loved to ask him questions and always considered his advise. He had 88 years of wisdom and we loved listening to him.. He always listened to us and encouraged us to follow our dreams. He was our biggest cheerleader. We lost a wonderful man and so did this world but heaven gained a gem. I know that one day we will all be together in paradise. What a reunion! Uncle John please give my mother and brother hugs and kisses. I will carry you with me until we meet again, I love you Uncle Johnny John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life".
