Lovely Roberta cared for my two children as their babysitter years ago for a year or so until she was needed more to care for her grandchildren. She was a wonderful addition to our family for the time that we were honored to have her care for us. It wasn’t until I mentioned that I think there’s an afterlife that she shared that her husband sent her signs and that her son had a life changing event that led to the John Theissen Children’s Foundation. We contribute annually. Her loving ways were so inspiring. My condolences. Sincerely, the Marinaccio Family, Annette Marinaccio

To a strong woman who loved her kids and grandkids. I was impressed when I would go to Jimmy’s softball games-back in the day and she was always there cheering him on. (Pics of Bert and baby Colleen and baby Melissa) To a special grandma, you’ll be missed. Love Terri

What I remember most about Roberta, is how tough a woman she was. She adored her sons and grandchildren. And I loved how John and I would tease her, and she gave it right back to us. They don’t make women like Roberta anymore, she was one of a kind. She was proud of all her sons, and she attended almost every JTCF event there was, including the last one I saw her at about two months ago. She was smiling and looking good, even after what she has been going through. God bless Roberta’s soul now she’s with the Angels. I’ll miss you Roberta, “You’re the toughest man I know” lol.

There are so many memories of my mom in my 57 yrs, and the ones that really come to me, especially when looking at old pictures, are the years that we all played sports and my mother always came to all the games and absolutely loved it. She was so proud of her sons at ball games, and for my memories, I will always remember when I would come up to bat you could hear her a mile away screaming for you, it was fun. I love you mom, Rest In Peace, and thanks for all you tried to do for me. Billy

This morning we lost my mom, Roberta Ann Theissen, after a tough and enduring battle with colon cancer. It wasn't her first fight with this horrible disease, for she had already beaten it twice in the past 8 years.
A strong woman of Faith, she too believed that goodbyes are not forever, so I envision my mom embracing her beautiful sister, my Aunt Elaine Eklund, who passed away in 1995.
Throughout my life my mom has always been there for me, and I will think of her and share memories about her each and every day. In essence, she will always be here with us.
For now, I would like to share this picture of my mom. Not only is it one of my favorites, but it was taken during one of the happiest times of her life. It was the early 1980's, and my mom was on vacation in Aruba with my Aunt Elaine.
I love you so much Mom! Thank you ... Thank you for everything.
