I had the pleasure of knowing Billy since kindergarten and all the way to High School. A shy guy but always so nice and sweet. I’ve seen him at our 20 and 30 year reunion and I’m beyond grateful for that and for Facebook to let us see how happy he was with Tracie and his boys. I will miss all his wise comments and quick pictures on my posts and the laughs that went with it. My heart breaks for all of you. RIP Billy you will always be missed and never be forgotten

Bill ( Billy ). You will be forever missed. May take a beer or two for you to open up and talk and crack a joke. But when you did it was awesome. I will forever remember and miss the Taft Ave / Lincoln Street Neighborhood Block Parties . Your Parents annual " Eggnog Christmas Parties ". It was that great Get to Get Together at Christine's Christmas Party in her Queens apartment when you gave Jeff and I the name that still sticks to this day ..... Jefra. When Tracie kept saying " I can stretch sauce,,, I'm Italian". Jeff still quotes both of you to this day. I'm so glad that you and Tracie untied and started a beautiful family .. My heart goes out to You
, Tracie your two little boys; Liam and Colin. Your parents. Your Sisters: Christine & Suzanne. Love you all. Love,
Tara, Jeff, Kim and Nicole Busse

Bill and I got to know one another during our SHS band days. I played the bass clarinet, Bill the Baritone Sax, and we sat very near one another for years. Bill was always quick with a joke and a laugh and made those dull practices and performances more fun. He was a kind and gentle soul, never speaking ill of others. He had a shy smile and a dry wit and his mild manner made him likeable in all circles. These last few years I’ve really enjoyed seeing him find true love and being blessed by his two beautiful sons.
I wish all of Bill’s family and friends peace and comfort.

Had the pleasure of knowing Bill since the Seaford Manor days and alphabetically being linked to home rooms and close proximity on many seating charts tohether through the years. Bill was ALWAYS such a nice guy. I have enjoyed having him on my side defending Eli Manning and celebrating NY Giant super bowls on Facebook. I think I will miss most his art of busting my chops with well timed memes and quick wit when trash talking my beloved Rangers. It wont be the same with out him. Rest in Peace Viking!

Bill Benson was my classmate and friend in Seaford High School and one of my fondest memories of him remains our participation in the St Patrick's Day parade in NYC. He consistently demonstrated a positive attitude and a generosity of spirit. May he rest in peace and continue to watch over his beautiful family.
