My sincerest condolences to Gabrielle, Angela, and all Delores’s beautiful family!
Dear Delores, just looking at your beautiful picture on this page warms my heart! I can tell you are a beautiful, loving person just from your photo! I CANNOT wait (I have to though) to meet you in paradise when you are reunited with Gabrielle, Angela and the rest of your family. And just as you are sleeping now, Jehovah will awaken you to a beautiful paradise where you will be in perfect health —how you were-we all were meant to be and live. John 5: 28,29-Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.

I will remember Dolores with much fondness. She was true to who she was and what she believed, and she balanced that with respect. A quality I admired. Dolores had a great big smile and great big heart, especially with regards to her family. They were the center of her universe. I will miss our “ Wash, Cut and Blow Dry ” chats about current events (she kept herself well -informed), religion, pop-culture, health and family. Always making sure to ask about mine, because she really cared. So then, Bill and I want to express our deepest sympathies. We pray that your precious memories of Dolores and God’s promises of a resurrection (John 5:28,29) to a paradise earth, will bring you comfort until you are together again. With Love and Sympathy, Bill and Ellen

Dear family, our hearts ache for you and the difficult time this has been for each of you. The sting of death is truly an enemy but this pandemic has made it especially painful and not allowed any of us to show ‘normal’ support to you during this tragedy. We know the only relief from this enemy is by our Father Jehovah and he has guaranteed it and soon by the hands of his Son. It won’t be long before your mom is back in your arms happy and healthy surrounded by the love of her family. As children, you showed her the greatest love and respect and gave her the honor a parent deserves and we hope that brings you comfort now. We didn’t know your mom long but we loved our short visits in the beauty shop and it was obvious to us that she loved each of you very much. We send our condolences and our warm love,
Dan and Katie Houghton

I have so many amazing memories of Dee! When I was very young and living a dual life, afraid to tell my parents that I was gay, Dee was the mother I needed. When I would be at her house visiting Gabby and Angela, Dee would pull me to the side for a chat. She would ask me, "have you told your mom?", which my reply was often "No, I know she knows, but I haven't told her". She would give me a hug and say "your mom loves you, and is just waiting for you to bring her into your life". In those moments when I was afraid of losing my family, I always knew that if God forbid I did lose them, I would have Dee to love me! When I was finally able to say "Dee, I told them", she again hugged me and said "I am proud of you and love you". She was pure motherly love!!
Through all the years I spent with her, we would laugh all the time......she thought I was crazy, and like it because she "got me"! She loved her daughters hard, a never ending, unconditional love.....although she was always their friend, she let them know she was their mother first! Her home was place that we all went to feel safe and loved! She didn't go to any trouble, or do anything special....she just welcomed you with her HUGE smile and an even bigger hug!!! She would share her stories about her husband, and about Gabby and Angela growing up......then she and I would make snarky comments about them and laugh :-)!
Years later, as I have my own child now, I will always welcome my daughters friends into our home the same way Dee welcomed all to hers, with a big smile and a hug! Dee was so special to me, and I know she knew I loved her so much......I don't know if she knew how much of an impact she had on my life and my decisions, and how grateful I was for knowing her! I love you Dee and I thank you for loving me!!!

We want to send our love and condolences, Delores was a kind person who will always have special place in my heart.
I remember when she lived in the house we are living in and she would invite me over to study the Bible with her. She always had lots of questions and was so honest and straight forward. She loved her family so much and was so proud of her grandkids. She always fed the neighborhood cats and cared for them.
I will miss her and all that she was but know that I will see her again and will embrace her and tell her how much her family loved her was there for her.
All our prayers and thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

My memories of my Aunt warm my heart. Our conversations, her wicked sense of humour, her love of really good food. Her laughter rings in my ear, the sound of her voice calling our names. The look in her eye when she saw dessert on the counter. Aunt Delorus taught me about the importance of family memories and stories. We shared a curiosity about the way the world worked and would muse for hours on the phone about our observations of life. I will miss her gentle good council and her loving voice at the other end of the phone. I'll miss hearing the updates on her beloved Domino and his antics. May the afterlife that she envisioned be the one that she enjoys now. May she be dancing with her relatives who have gone before, including her beloved husband Peter. She is an angel. I am grateful to have known her and loved her in this life, and am honoured to carry her memory in my heart.
