Grammy Evelyn was truly the matriarch of her family. She was adored by her children and son-in-laws. Grammy Evelyn was the best friend of all of her grandchildren and was involved all the time in whatever they did. She was truly a great light in their lives. Her light may be diminished on the outside but she will always be the flickering light inside all who loved her.

Her home was a sanctuary of Joy and love. Upon entering you could feel the warmth. A nurturing Mom who grew a beautiful family,
Love transcends all and you will be with her and your Dad one day far off. Until then they watch over .
My heart breaks for all of you

We are so sorry for the loss of such a beautiful soul. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We feel so blessed that we were able to have Grammy to our home in November. Remembering how much Snickers “loved her”, and her precious reaction, will always bring about a chuckle! To the Breys: Thank you for sharing your beautiful mother/grandmother with us.

The kindest and most serene presence amidst the seeming chaos of a very noisy family (that I was thankful to be a noisy part of!) With my other aunts and uncles (see photo of Dick and Barbara's wedding below), and in the many fun times together (never seemed to be enough food though!) at "Uncle Bob and Aunt Ev's House", I remember laughter, my fill of New York sports reporting (with lots of commentary), and the joys of togetherness and family. We grew older and were shocked with the loss of "Uncle Bob", but that loss was compensated with the ever-present love and kindness of "Aunt Ev." She always had a smile, always had a look of warmth and acceptance, and took a genuine interest in the welfare of a very big family.
That she should die at this time is of particular anguish, but we can take comfort that she is finally reunited with her loving husband, and that we can keep them both alive in our memories forever. Eternal rest grant under her, Oh Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her. May she and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, Amen.

How beautiful she looks! I’ll never forget Evelyn... working with her on Mondays was my favorite day at Willy Nilly. She always had a smile and never had a bad thing to say about a anyone. She was a very proud little lady, a hard worker and loved her family, always spoke of her grandchildren, she was so proud of them. Now in Heaven, Rest In Peace.
