KEVIN FRANCIS MADDEN, 65 Kevin Francis Madden, 65, a life-long resident of East Meadow, N.Y., passed away Saturday, April 4, after a lengthy stay at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, N.Y. A graduate of C.W. Post College, in Brookville, N.Y., with a BA in Political Science, Kevin recently retired from Delta Airlines, where he held various supervisorial and other positions during his 38-year tenure with the airlines. While building his career, he was busy nurturing his love of family, a journey that began when he met his future wife, Susan Body, in 1973. Susan, like her husband, also grew up in East Meadow, and it’s there that they settled and raised their daughter, Tasha Marie Madden. Kevin’s deep love for his daughter, Tasha, and the pride he had in her was a big part of his life. He and Susan were married for 38 years. Through those years they built strong bonds within their family and among their closest friends. Kevin’s warmth, love of life and gentle ways were the undercurrents of the deep bonds he formed with loved ones through the years. Those special, inherent qualities extended to his connection to nature, especially his life-long love of fish. He spent much of his spare time meticulously and lovingly watching over his in-home aquariums, always teeming with life, vibrant colors and a gentle calmness that so appropriately matched Kevin’s character. He also loved gardening, his backyard pool, the ocean, walks in the woods and classic rock and roll. And while he and Susan visited many unique places in their travels through the years, his favorite was St. Pete Beach in Florida.
