So many wonderful memories of one incredible person. Claude has certainly left his mark with the world. After a 42 year friendship with Claude one memory always comes to mind for me. To this day, I still believe it is the hardest I have ever laughed in my entire life. It was 1989 and we were taking our first vacation together to the Florida keys. Claude, Jane, Mark and I hop into the rental car from the airport to head to the condo. As we pull into the complex Claude jammed on the breaks, stops the car and jumps out. There is a cactus plant with fruit on it. He proceeds to pick the fruit off the cactus and start eating it. We all look at each and said, that’s Claude the food the gatherer. Later the evening he calls me aside to ask me if I had tweezers. All the prickly stuff that was on the cactus fruit was now all stuck inside his mouth and tongue. So I’m straddling him while Jane is trying to pull back his lips so I can try to remove some of these thorns that are all inside his mouth. Jane and I could not catch our breaths from laughing so hard for so long. To this day I still say I have never laughed that hard. We will miss Claudio so very very much as will so many others. He was just one of those human beings that was so loved by so many friends and family. Truly an incredible person.

As a freshman at FDU Madison, college life was bewildering...I was a member of the Varsity Soccer team but many of the upperclassmen who took me under their wing were members of the Lacrosse team...I pay tribute to them all but the one man who I looked up to for his kindness, guidance and spirit was Claudio! A better man never walked this Earth! He will forever be in my heart! Rest In Peace my friend!

It was with great sadness that we learned of Claudio's passing, but also a relief to know that his physical and mental suffering on the last few months has ended. He did not deserve the turmoil he endured. He was a great generous man, who gave freely physically and emotionally. I only knew him for less than ten years but I considered him a close friend, the best I ever had. I regret that I didn't have more time to spend with him, but i treasure every minute I did have. The reef will be quieter this year; Summer Seas will be more somber without your presence. Rest in Peace my friend. You will be missed! Our heart felt condolences to Jane and all the family members.

With a very heavy heart I write this about my dear friend Claudio Facchini. I was so fortunate to have met him and his brother Ralph around 14 years ago through my hunting business. He was a blessing to my life and I will never forget his attitude about life in this country and the freedom we have here. Most of all I will never forget that smile and those wonderful bear hugs. He was so uplifting and encouraging to me about everything but mostly about my hunting business that he loved so much. Because of him I have met so many awesome people that I now call, true friends. He always answered my phone calls with, “Hey brother Kurt” and no matter what kind of mood I was in a very warm feeling swept through my veins. He was a one of a kind person and I will never ever forget him. I’m not sure what Heaven will be like but he knows now and one of the last things he said to me was, “ next time I will see you brother will be in Heaven and this time (I) will have a tree stand ready for you. I love you brother.” He is with Jesus now and I can think of no better place to be. I miss you already!
Your brother in Christ from Kansas

If you were blessed to be a friend of Claudio, you knew the feeling of his hug when he saw you. He always made you feel special and loved. His love for life was infectious and his love for his family was palpable.
Our hearts are broken that we lost him too soon but become full again when we remember his smile and friendship. Until we meet again . . .

While we spent only a short time together in the term of our lives, I knew Claudio to be special. His warmth, his smile, his heart, and his soul touched me as would that of a comforting fire on soft snowy winters night. I wish there were more times I could have spent there. His family, his friends and I will miss his physical presence, but always remember the divine spirit that was within him.

To know Claudio was to know compassion & warmth. He was always there to help anyone that needed it. I met him years ago when we both were buying Finches to breed. We shared our knowledge so we could be more successful. I view Claudio's passing as seeing him on a beautiful ship sailing across the sea until he's out of sight, but knowing there will be someone great on the other side to receive him with open arms !

I knew Claudio in high school. To me he was a gentle giant. He always treated me with kindness, respect and always with a big smile. His outlook on life was infectious and I felt safe near him. In his adult photos I can see he never lost those beautiful glowing cheeks. My heart felt condolences are for Claudios family and close friends.

When we think of Claudio, we will always remember boating in the Keys. He took us to the infamous sandbar, through the mangroves, and to see dolphins. I remember looking his way one time as he sat at the helm with a smile, as if to say, “Yes, I knew you would enjoy this.” He wanted the best for everyone.
We will miss Claudio’s warmth and humor. He and Jane are like extended family to us and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
We hope there are lots of orchids in heaven.
With our love, prayers, and condolences,
Maureen and Koty

We remember Claude as a genuine and truly caring human being who always showed his kindness and welcomed our family to NY on every visit! We will never forget the Christmas we spent with them in Wantaugh and the extended family as our “tummies” have never been so full with the delectable nine course” meal we enjoyed with all not to mention that our hearts were filled with love and the Christmas joy that Jane and Claude demonstrated to each and every member of the family. What a beautiful example of a family man he was!! God bless you Claude as you are now with God and your mom and dad rejoicing in God’s glory in heaven forever!
