I was your daughter-in-law for 38 years until your son, Corky died in 2012. I loved you so much, like my own dad. You were funny, caring, kind and always the comedian. You and Mom raised a bunch of good kids and were great with your grandkids and you accepted me into the family immediately. You have another beautiful great grandson, named after his, Pop Pop, Colin. He has a lot of his characteristics and personality. Although he never got to meet his PopPop, he sits and talks to his picture all the time. I wish you had gotten a chance to meet him. Well, know that I love you and pray that you’re in heaven celebrating your reunion with Corky and Mom. Please give them both hugs and love from me. Enjoy eternity with God!
Love Debbie

I remember my friend from grade school calling to tell me my Uncle George was painting her house. I told her I didn’t have an Uncle George!!! She kept insisting and my mom overheard-“Yes you do that’s Uncle Lovey” or Uncle Love was the perfect name to describe him❤️

My Mom, his sister Audrey, was crazy about her big brother and loved to talk about growing up with him. She told one story about how she was extremely thin and he told her once that he would pay her $1.00 for every pound she could gain! Very sweet offer from a generous older brother! $1.00 could buy a lot back in the late thirties, early forties. She always spoke of him with true affection.
Though we didn’t see him as often as we may have liked through the years, he always had and always will have a very special place in our hearts. I know I speak for all of Audrey’s children when I say that. Rest In Peace, sweet Uncle Lovey and say hello to Mom for us!
