David was 3 years younger than I (and my group of friends) was in all those glorious summers of our youth out in Peconic, Long Island. He was a very quiet and very sweet guy.....just a gentle soul. I remember him and his older brother Evans frequently talking about their involvement in the Scouts all those years ago. From the photo that Peter posted, it looks as though David's son also went into the Scouts.....which was probably a very proud moment for David.
My condolences to Peter, who is now the sole survivor of the Dittman family of Peconic (which is really hard to believe).
My deepest condolences to David's wife and family.

Dave was a very kind person. I had the pleasure of working with him for eight years and I will miss our conversations about life. May he rest in peace with the rest of the angels. My condolences to his family and friends.

I knew Dave at work on several projects and from around the office. Great guy with a great sense of humor. He was always helpful when I needed his assistance. I will definitely miss having him around but know that his work lives on in the many buildings his graphics are in around NYC. My condolences to his family. Hopefully now, Dave can rest in peace.
