Lorraine McIntosh was born in 1922 in Maspeth, Queens. She was predeceased by her parents, Apolinary and Sophie Zalewski and older brothers, Chester and Stephen. Lorraine married the 'apple of her eye,' John McIntosh, in May 1946. John passed away in 1993. Lorraine worked for over 35 years as a bookkeeper at Griff's Hardware in Maspeth. Even after moving to South Floral Park in 1962, she continued to work at Griff's until she retired. Lorraine moved to the Knolls II in East Meadow in 1999 and quickly embraced the community. She thoroughly enjoyed living there with her wonderful friends. Lorraine is survived by her daughter Marilyn and son-in-law, Steve, son John and daughter-in-law, Kathy and by Jackie Mazza, who called her aunt but was like a daughter to her. Also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Debbie and husband Jeff Belmont, Jeff, Lori, and Katie Goldhammer, and Jennifer and husband Paul Papitto, and by her three adored great-grandsons: Luke Belmont and Nicholas and Michael Papitto.
