As big a guy as he was, the biggest things about Bob were his heart and passion. Bob was one of the greatest union representatives and worker advocates on Long Island. He periodically visited our offices at the U.S. Labor Department, and was always welcomed and respected for adamantly seeking justice and fairness for those he represented. A true giant in the Labor movement. He'll be missed by all. What a gentle giant too. He could be tough when he had to be and understanding as well. He was respected by all that knew him. The last I saw him, he was laughing and smiling at the PGA championship. That is the way I'll always remember him. May you RIP my friend.
