Obituary
Robert Dale Woodrum passed away in the early morning of April 22, 2019 at St Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY. He was 62 years old. He battled congestive heart failure for four weeks while waiting to be well enough to have aortic valve replacement. Robert was born May 9, 1956 in Brooklyn, NY to Dale and Jeannette Woodrum. In his early years Robert was quite a hellion but settled into such a quiet and gentle man no one who did not know him then would believe the stories. He was kind and sensitive and was well liked as a true partner by all of his work associates during the 20 years he spent working as an IT Engineer for Nassau County. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his older sister Doreen Woodrum and many first, second, and third cousins on both the Woodrum and Carano sides of the family. To honor his life friends may call on Saturday, April 27th from 3 to 6 at O’Shea’s Funeral home at 603 Wantaugh Ave, Wantagh, NY. There will be a prayer service at 6 pm and an opportunity for anyone to give testimony to Robert’s life. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Robert’s memory to the American Heart Association.
