I've had some of the best times and best laughs of my life with this guy. There was never a dull moment when he was around. From going to see him perform standup, to road trips up state, to wild times in the Hampton's, to just lounging around; he truly was a one of a kind friend and person. I'll never forget when he ran full speed and then slid on his stomach across the whole dance floor at Anthony and Robbin's wedding. He then jumped up and wiggled around like a fish while his partner "reeled" him in, back across the dance floor. It was to this day and always will be the best wedding party couple introduction ever. Everything he did he did 100%, he was that kind of guy. I still can’t believe he’s gone. Thanks for the great memories Joe. I'm going to miss them. Until we meet again...

I love you brother! Freshman year at St. Dom’s you had this purple backpack I’ll never forget, the first day of school I barely knew anyone, and at the last bell you picked me up and gave me the biggest hug. I didn’t even know your name, but you were always full of boundless positive energy! Always smiling, always making others smile! It’s because of you I now know, ham and cheese must be eaten on rye bread with a touch of mustard, there is no other way! This makes me so incredibly sad my heart hurt when I found out ... I have such vivid memories of him - he introduced me to the Beastie Boys in Middle school... we would sit on the phone and he would play me his favorite songs ...a good, kind soul and 35 is just heartbreakingly young ... Although we may never understand God's plan for calling Joe home before he had a chance to start a new chapter in his life, we must find solace in the fact that Joe is now at peace in God's loving embrace. They say that when we lose a loved one here on Earth, we gain an angel in heaven who watches over us. No one can ever prepare for the tragic loss of a loved one, it comes like a wind. Joe may have departed from this Earth, but he will live on forever in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him.
