Mac is one of the finest men that I’ve ever known. He was always a positive influence on me since I was a teenager. He was a good husband and father that raised two great children. He has been a good friend to my family and a especially great friend of my father. I will really miss him.

He passed away peacefully, just how he lived. He was a respectful man, hard worker, helpful and supportive of our family through all our needs. He worked for NY Tel for 40 years but held so many jobs in his life, everything from a barber shop assistant, to grave digger, to farm assistant (for his grandfather), painter, funeral assistant, country club caddie, and Navy seaman during WWII. He had a good sense of humor, was sharp, a man of fewer words who believed things should be done the right way. He enjoyed watching old movies, like Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie and Mash. Through and through he was a family man. He loved jelly beans, chili, gravy & biscuits, Publix chocolate cookies, decorating for the house and tree for Christmas, reminiscing and remembering details from days gone by. His trip home to Ellis Grove in May was a great trip down memory lane and he enjoyed seeing his family in that area. He was stubborn but cooperative. He was a one woman man, and deeply loved his wife Ginny even 6 years after her passing. They were married over 64 years.
