Since I first met you some 51 years ago you have been the love of my life and I will love you forever and always. You gave me 4 beautiful children who have become amazing adults. Mr. Wilbur, I owe you a debt of gratitude I will spend the rest of my days attempting to repay. When we met some twenty years ago I admired you as a man. I saw the love and warmth you shared with your children and may have even felt a little jealous. All this time later I now have exactly what I've always wanted and I have you to thank for it. I am spending my days with an awesome woman who has given me three beautiful children. In our last conversation you complimented us on our family and I thanked you. Not so much for the compliment but for being the father you are, for raising Peggy to be who she is. I am truly sorry I didn't give you the chance to walk her down the isle into my arms. Rest well my friend knowing your daughter and grandchildren will live full and happy lives. As you already know, there is no greater purpose for a man.

Mr. Wilbur, Dad is what it should be.
You have been a father to me as much as I could have ever asked for.... Since i first came in to meet you and mrs.Wilbur picking up your daughter, almost 20 years ago now, i always respected and admired you and how you carried yourself. Similar to how i remember my dad. Quickly you accepted me as part of the family and always made me feel welcome and loved. Thank you so much for that. I can only be sorry that i didnt have the opportunity or took advantage of the opportunities to enjoy more time with you and enjoy more of your company. I will always hold you dear in my heart and will always miss you greatly.
