Dear Niggemeier family,
I am saddened to hear of Hank's passing. I remember him as a warm, outspoken, generous person. He always seemed to have some way of making me feel welcome whenever I was over at your house. I loved the conversation I had with him in 2007 when I was visiting NY a lot to help when my dad was ill. My mom had said that sometimes Jennifer came to visit on the weekends so I decided to pop over next door and see if I might catch her in. I ended up visiting with Hank and Elaine for a bit and had the nicest conversation with Hank about China, since he'd heard we'd lived there for awhile. He had so many questions and wanted to know everything. It was a very enjoyable time and I was so grateful for it. Your dad and your home and your whole family are such a part of my childhood memories - good memories, and some quite funny ones, too! :) Thank you all for that. Much love and prayers, Ann
