How far and wide we all travel in life from our simple step into adulthood, some never leaving and yet often returning to be close by the familiar, that which pauses us to remember a simpler joyful time. Our stories differ yet we all share the common structure of life. Education, work, partnerships-marriage, children, success, failure, illness, health and loss. Some of us longevity yet others not. John's loss reminds us of that which is precious and often taken like a thief that comes in the night. The heavens have accepted a new angel and may he watch over all those he has temporarily left behind. "Oh Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me."-Psalm 30:2
