When I first met Grandma Catherine, we went to a tailgate at her granddaughter, Noelle's, University, James Madison University. We walked the campus, admired the beautiful mountains and greenery. She commented on being thankful that her community didn't have the same "hills" that made up the landscape of JMU's campus.
Catherine was always witty and beautiful. Her laugh and endless kindness will be missed. Her home emulated the love and adoration she had for her children and grandchildren and was filled with photographs of her family.
May God watch over the Carlsons and the family of Catherine during this trying time and give you strength.
