So heartbroken. I keep thinking back, and always hear Nerina's raspy laughter, and see her wonderful facial expressions. Nerina was the keeper of the family history- so much is now gone. I miss her already. Thank you to Maria for loving and caring for her so beautifully, and especially for making sure that you kept your promise to her.

Nerina, I was so glad to meet you and your daughter Maria is my amazing friend for 21 years. I am so blessed to have her when she is always there for me. I am always there for her too. Wonderful memories for over 37 years! You always welcomed me with open arms as your own 2nd daughter, and I spent more weekends at your warm and welcoming home then my own! Lol, I will always remember how you would encourage me to use sound when speaking with Maria. But honestly I loved being able to totally communicate between the two of us totally silent! Maria, we need to brush up on that! Anyway, I will miss you and Joni very much, but now you are both with my mom! Dear Nerina, I'll always remember what a good hostess you were. It started when I was a little girl and you were my big cousin, you and Juanita would full Robin and I up with candy, chips, soda and all the goodies our little stomachs could not handle. I don't need to remind you where we landed up. No, seriously I remember you always being, warm, friendly and inviting. I remember you in Maspeth, Hollis and Oceanside. It was certainly shocking to hear the news of her health condition and how quickly she left this world. I have not had the chance to meet Nerina, but can say she must have been one remarkable mother by seeing the wonderful daughter she has.
