Joseph J. Vieni of West Islip passed on December 5, 2023. Mr. Vieni is a United States Navy Veteran who served proudly on the USS Valley Forge during the Korean Conflict. He was a dedicated employee of Con Edison in the Overhead & Tree Trimmers for 38 years. Mr. Vieni has been a member of the Order Sons of Italy Marconi Lodge for many years. Mr. Vieni also volunteered in the Parish Outreach at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church of West Islip. Beloved husband of the late Elvera L. (nee Meglino.) Loving father of Laura M. Clayton and her husband Edward, Stephanie Ricci and her husband Frederick. Cherished grandfather of Diana Papale and her husband Joseph, Joseph Clayton, Frederick Ricci and his wife Kristen, Shawn Clayton and his wife Melissa and Stacy Moore and her husband Robert. Adored great grandfather of Enzo Ricci, James Clayton, Grace Clayton, Meghan Clayton, Robert Moore, Daniel Moore and Ryan Moore and his wife Gabby. Loving brother of Lucy Girardi and Joyce Vieni.
